Chia seeds are full of omega-3 fatty acids. This is important to be consuming because it helps lower your cholesterol, it helps to clear out inflammation and it also helps bring clarity and proper mental function and capacity throughout the day. Another benefit of chia seeds is it lowers your cholesterol, keeps your bowel moving properly, and it also reduces inflammation. Chia seeds are full of antioxidants which protects you from many diseases. It also slows down the aging process which keeps us healthier and happier. Chia seeds are full of calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium.
This helps with lowering the blood pressure and also helps maintain a healthy weight. Chia seeds are also full of other minerals. Minerals are extremely important. ninety-five percent of our body functions are run by minerals not vitamins, so vitamins are still very important but we can understand now if ninety-five percent of our body functions need minerals, that’s how important it is to consume as many as we can. So Chia seeds is a really great way to get those minerals. Another benefit of chia seeds is it keeps you feeling full you add it to your green smoothie in the morning, you’ll be full for longer. You can also stir it into some water or some juice and as the chia seeds expand with the moisture, it gives you that full feeling. Because chia is a seed, there’s no gluten. So it’s perfect for those that are gluten intolerant. it’s a great supplement to add the nutritional value without worrying about the side effects of a grain. Chia seeds are really cool because they replace an egg so if you’re baking a cake, or making pancakes, or anything that would call for an egg, you can do one tablespoon of ground chia seeds. So think of all the vitamins and minerals that is contained in there all of the good stuff. So you’re putting that and the eggs have are high in cholesterol. So you can replace the egg with one tablespoon of the powder, the ground-up powder from chia seeds. You’ll want to add extra liquid though. So if it calls for an egg, you’ll need to do 1/4 cup of water or almond milk so that you have the moisture there. So I’m often asked where you can get protein other than animal products and is there protein in chia seeds? and the answer is yes. Chia seeds is brimful of protein. It’s, and it’s a usable protein it’s something that you can utilize right away it doesn’t take a lot of digestion so it’s a really good form of protein. Unlike flax seeds, chia seeds do not need to be ground before hand. You can ingest them whole. Your body breaks them down and utilizes all of the nutrients inside. Supplementing with chia seeds is a great way to lower your cholesterol and up your good cholesterol. so you get rid of the bad and you get more of the good. Another great benefit to consuming regularly these chia seeds is, diabetics can use it to help regulate insulin levels. This is really helpful because it helps balance the blood sugar levels which also helps balance our emotions and it takes the pressure off of our pancreas so then it can have time to heal and start working on its own as we take that pressure off and keep that in balance within the body.
